BRAD'S COMMENTS: Many thanks to Daniel Kurtz for sending in the Cosmos Royale, from the FASA supplement, "A Doomsday Like Any Other". If the warp nacelles are to scale with the Miranda and Constitution (refit) classes, then this is one whopper of a ship! At Class X she's right up there with the big cruisers like the Enterprise-A, so the additional size at similar mass might indicate a lot of "empty" area inside the hull. Unlike cargo craft, a luxury liner (e.g: cruise ship) is going to need a lot of room for open recreational spaces: theaters, swimming pools, galleries, banquet halls, discothèques, etc. There is also some question regarding the single, puny laser firing into the aft quarter. Whatever is it for, especially in that arc?
